So I was checking my e-mail on my photography network this morning and I had an message from a guy telling me that he also has pictures from the SAME abandoned house that I was posting on the message board. He said he'd post an album for me to look at, and sure enough, its the same house. He had some of the history of the building posted on it. Crazy how things work out like that. Anyway, thanks Joel for the info!
The Wood Family Farmhouse was built in 1866. Some time after the civil war the family lost all their investments and sold the home and farmland to the Harris family. The last occupant, Mrs. Harris passed away in the house in the late 1970’s, and the house has been left alone ever since.
